Visit the Bicentennial Heritage Fair as part of the Nine Ships 1825 Bicentennial Week Events.
The Bicentennial Heritage Fair (or BHF) is intended to be a one-stop location for visitors and residents during our Bicentennial Commemoration Week until August 8th. Learn more about the community groups, heritage organizations and other individuals in the Peterborough area who have a vested interest in preserving our community’s history and cultural heritage, including the Peter Robinson Irish Emigration in 1825.
The BHF will be open to visitors from 10am-4pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall (317 Hunter Street West in Peterborough).
The exhibitors include a diverse group of authors, artists, genealogists, historical societies, museums, archives, living history sites, and groups formed to promote the Bicentennial in each of our local communities.
Nine Ships 1825 will also have a table at the BHF where we’ll have our Bicentennial Souvenir book, Nine Ships t-shirts and hats, and exclusive merchandise available for sale – perfect for anyone looking for a keepsake from what promises to be a memorable week.
“Nine Ships 1825 is very thankful to the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Women’s League, and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Peterborough for providing use and management of the hall during this period.” states Dennis Carter-Edwards, Organizer of the Heritage Fair.
