About Elizabeth Doucette

Elizabeth Doucette is a watercolour artist based in Peterborough, Ontario. Drawing inspiration from local landscapes, native flora, and her Irish-Canadian heritage, she creates vibrant paintings that reflect the relationship between nature and human culture.

Raised with a lively appreciation of nature and the arts, Elizabeth learned while earning her theology degree, that beauty is a universal human need. While she has expressed that beauty through music for most of her life, her recent discovery of watercolour has revitalized her creative spirit.

These years with her husband and nine children living in the beautiful and culturally-rich Peterborough area, have further enhanced her artistic voice. Her uplifting watercolours add a touch of joy to her collectors’ homes, fulfilling the human need for beauty in small but meaningful ways.
