Folklore, Remedies and Spirits – Mystical Traditions from the Old World

Entitled “Folklore, Remedies and Spirits: Mystical Traditions from the Old World,” the gathering is themed around the stories, songs, and superstitions that shaped their region during the time of the Peter Robinson Emigration. The evening will feature a screening of Nick van der Graaf’s film The Backwoodsman, a performance from local storyteller Betty Bennett, and a historical presentation from Jeff Dornan about the old world superstitions that found new life in the Ontario backwoods.
