Douro 200th Anniversary: Commemorative Events

In the spring of 1825, 60 Irish families embarked on a long and perilous journey across the sea, arriving in late fall in Douro Township.

Join us in commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Douro community as we honour our rich heritage, celebrate our vibrant present, and look forward with hope to our promising future.

Sunday July 6: 

Village of Douro

• 9am Prayer Service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery
• 10am Commemorative Mass

• Luncheon
